Wells Fargo (NYSE: WFC) has expanded its electronic ATM receipt option to customers in North Carolina and Colorado.
The ATM machines will offer customers the option of bypassing a paper receipt and instead receiving a message to their e-mail account or a secure online inbox on the Wells Fargo website.
“By offering our customers this e-receipt option, it gives them another opportunity to cut down on paper use and provides further convenience; the customer decides how, when and where they receive their receipt,” said Felix Fernandez, Wells Fargo’s Northern California regional president, in a prepared release. “Plus, since many of our customers manage their finances online, these e-receipts will help them keep tabs on their day-to-day financial activities in one spot. E-receipts are an important tool for customers to help keep track of their transactions and manage their accounts.”
“We encourage customers to make the switch to e-receipts,” said Mary Wenzel, head of environmental affairs for Wells Fargo, in a prepared release. “With that one simple action you can make a positive impact for the environment.”
