Bank of America Corp (NYSE: BAC) Hires New Latin American Executive

Bank of America Corp (NYSE: BAC) CEO has hired former Credit Suisse Group AG executive Mark Rosen to serve as a new executive in Latin America.

Rosen will serve as the head of the Charlotte-based bank’s corporate and investment banking in Latin America. He will be based in New York and report to William Egan, Bank of America’s global head of corporate and investment banking.

Bank of America Corp (NYSE: BAC) has been adding a number of other senior-level banks in Asia, Europe and Latin America to expand internationally after purchasing Merrill Lynch & Co in 2009. Earlier this month, Bank of America Corp (NYSE: BAC) hired Peter MacDonald, the former co- head of Goldman Sachs Group Inc.’s Asian securities unit, as vice chairman for Asia-Pacific.

Rosen previously spent 12 years working at Credit Suisse and served as the head M&A activity for Latin America at UBS AG. In 2009, Rosen advised Madrid-based Banco Santander SA on the initial public offering of Banco Santander Brasil SA, which raised $8 billion.
