The International Association of Healthcare Professionals has carefully selected Teresa M. Biskup-Vereb, MD, to represent psychiatry in their publication, The Leading Physicians of the World. Dr. Biskup-Vereb’s selection is a significant representation of her passion and dedication for the field of psychiatry.  She is considered among the best in her many years in practice. Dr. Biskup-Vereb works at her private practice in Bradenton, Florida, adjacent to her husband’s family medicine practice.  At this practice since 1980, Dr. Biskup-Vereb spent her past as a clinical instructor in psychiatry for Meyer Memorial Hospital in Buffalo, NY.  Originially from Poland, Dr. Biskup-Vereb is board certified in stress management from the American Academy of Experts in Traumatic Stress.  With her international experience, she is also board certified as a psychiatrist in Bratislava, Czechoslovakia. In 1966, Dr. Biskup-Vereb received her medical degree from the Academy of Medicine in Warsaw, Poland.  She then went on to complete a rotating internship and psychiatric residency at Hospital Wolsky, also in Warsaw, and at Safarik University in Czechoslovakia.  In 1977, she came to SUNY Buffalo and Meyer Memorial to complete her psychiatric residency in the United States.  She is also a staff psychiatrist at Manatee Memorial Hospital and HCA Blake Hospital,  a position she has held since 1980.  In 2010, Manatee honored her with a 30 Years of Service Award, as she also served as their Chief of Psychiatry from 1981 to 1985 and 1987 to 1991.
