Darnerien McCants Sprints Into The Ranks Of Stanford Who’s Who ASHBURN, VA,   September 17, 2012 /Stanford Who’s Who [1]/ — An extraordinary athletic coaching professional with over a decade of experience as a professional and collegiate athlete, Darnerien McCants [2] has consistently demonstrated the passion, vision, dedication, and diligence necessary to be mentioned among the elite. As a result of his outstanding body of work, Mr. McCants has earned inclusion in the prestigious ranks of premier professionals with Stanford Who’s Who. Utilizing over 10 years of collegiate and professional athletic experience, Darnerien serves as President and CEO of Pro Power Performance, which is a program that offers athletes from age 12 up with coaching services aimed at developing fundamentals and techniques that translate into multiple sports. Participants in the program are given the tools to train their core muscle groups in a way that will increase their speed, agility, balance, endurance, and strength. Training sessions are offered in a group setting for anywhere from 3 to 10 athletes or one-on-one sessions that are customized according to the individual’s needs. Over the course of his incredibly impressive athletic career, Mr. McCants played for the Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League from 2001-2005. He was also a start athlete at Delaware State University who was named to the university’s Hall of Fame in 2011. In addition, Darnerien was named to the All-MEAC First Team and was responsible for setting an MEAC single-game record with five touchdowns on two occasions in 2000. While with the Redskins, he was named as the NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year as well as one of the Washingtonians of the Year by Washingtonian Magazine in 2003. In addition to his pure athletic ability and the expertise built up over the course of his professional and collegiate endeavors in football, Darnerien is also a highly educated individual who earned a Bachelor’s degree in Art Education from Delaware State University. Additionally, he is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Council on Strength and Fitness, completed the Bigger Stronger Faster program, and is a certified Team Beachbody Emerald Coach and Personal Weight loss Trainer. Always looking to give back to society, Darnerien has been involved in numerous community and charitable programs. In 2011, he signed autographs for and read to veterans and children at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center. Mr. McCants also started the Darnerien McCants Endowed Scholarship program at Delaware State University and donated over $40,000 to the Art and Sports department of the school in 2008.
