Representing the anesthesiologists of New Hampshire, Nicholas Tzavalas, MD, has been selected to represent his community in the publication The Leading Physicians of the World.  In practice for many years, Dr. Tzavalas represents the commitment, excellence, and passion for patient care needed to receive this prestigious honor. Dr. Tzavalas works for Nutfield Anesthesia Associates, based in Derry, New Hampshire. He is the President of this practice, which functions as a pain management center connected with Parkland Medical Center, also in Derry.  Treating all types of pain including lower back pain and pain from fibromyalgia, as well as providing anesthetic services for surgeries, Dr. Tzavalas is an important member of many Hellenic biomedical groups as well as several anesthesia groups in New Hampshire. In 1979, Dr. Tzavalas received his medical degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.  He then came to the United States for his internship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, and his residency at Boston University Hosptal and St. Elizabeth Hospital.  His anesthesia fellowship was then obtained at New England Medical Center. Dr. Tzavalas is board certified from the American Board of Anesthesiology, and is also on staff at Salem Surgery Center.
