Tom Chappell Ascends To The Ranks Of Stanford Who’s Who WINSTON SALEM, NC, September 19, 2012 /Stanford Who’s Who / — An accomplished aviation executive with over four decades of professional experience in the field, Tom Chappell  has consistently demonstrated the passion, vision, dedication, and diligence necessary to be mentioned among the elite. As a result of his phenomenal career, Mr. Chappell has earned inclusion in the distinguished ranks of prominent professionals with Stanford Who’s Who. Employing over 43 years of aviation purchasing and technical management experience, Tom currently serves as Part Owner and Vice President of Business Development and Contracts with North State Aviation, which is a company involved in the repair and maintenance of Boeing aircrafts. They are a certified FAR 145 repair station with heavy maintenance, modification, and repair capabilities as well as D100 authority. North State Aviation serves a multitude of aircrafts from Boeing. Prior to joining the North State Aviation team, Mr. Chappell spent 16 years working in a variety of management positions for Continental Airlines, ending up as the Senior Director of Purchasing and Contracts. Over the course of his incredibly impressive career, Tom has also worked in various management roles for 19 years at Piedmont Airlines, Midway Airlines, and Copa Airlines, located in Panama, Panama. In addition to obtaining the vast majority of his expertise through his professional experience, Tom earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Economics from the Wake Forest University, Babcock Graduate School of Management and an Associate’s degree in Science from Wingate College. He is also a proud veteran of the United States Air Force, and having served 2 tours in Vietnam.
