The International Association of Healthcare Professionals has carefully selected Michael F. Boyer, to represent anesthesiology in their publication, The Leading Physicians of the World. Dr. Boyer’s selection is a significant representation of his passion and dedication for the field of anesthesiology.  He is considered to be among the best in his many years of practice. Dr. Boyer works for McAlester Anesthesia and Respiratory Services in McAlester, Oklahoma. Adjacent to the McAlester Regional Health Center, Dr. Boyer’s main method of practice is various types of pain management.  He specializes in treating spinal stenosis of the lumbar spine, and pain management techniques for spinal fractures.   An author of articles in medical journals from  The Journal of Pain to the International Journal of Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis, Dr. Boyer was also the recipient of the Oklahoma State Medical Association’s Award for Community Service. In 1975, Dr. Boyer received his medical degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center.  He then completed his internship at the Naval Regional Medical Center, and his residency at University of Florida.  Dr. Boyer is also on staff at McAlester Regional, as well as OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City.  His extensive training and military background make him one of Oklahoma’s premier pain management specialists, spanning a career of over 30 years.
