Bob Rimes Energizes The Global Network Of Stanford Who’s Who EDMONTON, AB, CANADA,   September 24, 2012 /Stanford Who’s Who [1]/ — A remarkable research executive with well over two decades of diverse professional experience, Bob Rimes [2] has enjoyed a tremendously successful career filled with several significant accomplishments, leading to his inclusion in the exclusive network of leading professionals with Stanford Who’s Who. Throughout his phenomenal professional career, Mr. Rimes has routinely demonstrated the passion, vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be mentioned among the elite. Employing his wealth of knowledge in the field, Bob currently serves as Executive Director of the University of Alberta, Agri Food Discovery Place. He is responsible for managing the daily activities and overseeing operations of the Agri Food Discovery Place, which exists to assist in closing the gap between Alberta academics, Alberta agriculture, and industry striving for commercialization. Involved in extensive applied research, Bob works closely with Alberta Energy in the use of agricultural and forestry feedstock as well as pulp and paper mill waste in the creation of sustainable products. Prior to taking over as Executive Director of the Agri Food Discovery Place in June of 2009, Mr. Rimes served as an Area Manager with BA Energy. He also served in various roles with Lehigh Inland Cement over a 14 year period, where he started as a Plant Chemist and worked his way up to Plant Manager, increasing the plant’s operating income by 62% within 5 years. Despite obtaining the vast majority of his expertise through his professional experience, Bob also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biology from Laurentian University. Evidencing his remarkable reputation in the field as well as his extreme dedication to the sustainable future of the agriculture industry in Canada, Mr. Rimes is a part of the Canadian Triticale Biorefinery Initiative, which is a 10 year research and development program for the purpose of developing triticale as a dedicated industrial biorefining crop for Canada.
