NORTHERN CAPE, SOUTH AFRICA,   September 25, 2012 /South Africa Business Network [1]/ — A supply chain executive with over three decades of diverse professional experience in the field, Chris McCumskey [2] has enjoyed a tremendously successful career filled with numerous significant accomplishments, leading to his inclusion in the South Africa Business Network, the world’s largest premiere networking resource for South African career professionals. Throughout his lengthy professional career, Chris has consistently displayed the passion, vision, and dedication necessary to be successful in the business world. Employing his wealth of knowledge in supply chain management, Mr. McCumskey last served as the Commercial Manager of Black Mountain Mining, where he was responsible for heading a team of 26 supply chain professionals in the areas of procurement, contracting, logistics, materials management, and repairs management. Chris has recently accepted an early retirement package from Black Mountain and will be looking for new opportunities in the areas of consulting, training or mentoring in the New Year. Whilst Chris is skilled in all aspects of supply chain management, his main areas of expertise are the management of people and all areas of procurement, including contracting, transactional buying, project procurement and eProcurement. Prior to joining the Black Mountain Mining Team in 2007, Mr. McCumskey spent over 30 years working in various roles for Anglo American. During his time with the mining industry giant, Chris also served in a number of other roles, such as FPA Superintendent at Mopani Copper Mines in Zambia, Business Analyst at Skorpion Zinc Mine in Namibia, Procurement Manager with Anglo Platinum, and Chief Buyer for Vaal Reefs Gold Mine. Chris holds a Certificate and Advanced Certificate in Supply Chain Management from UNISA as well as having completed the Management Development Programme at the University of the Witwatersrand Business School. Chris is also a current member of the Procurement Leaders Network, based in London UK. Chris is a proud family man who has been married to Yvonne for almost as long as he has been working. She has blessed him with three wonderful and successful children all living and working in Johannesburg.
