The Leading Physicians of the World and the International Association of Healthcare Professionals are proud to announce that Clara Hwang, MD, is being honored for her exceptional successes in the oncology community.  Over her many years in practice, Dr. Hwang has continued to demonstrate the passion, dedication, and enthusiasm for patient care necessary to be considered a Top Physician in her field. Dr. Hwang works for the Henry Ford Health System in Michigan.  She has clinical interests in a variety of cancers and blood diseases, and is board certified in medical oncology. Dr. Hwang was also a Howard Hughes Medical Student Research Fellow, a program designed to conduct biomedical research in various specialties.  A co-author of 15 articles in various peer reviewed medical journals, Dr. Hwang has written on such topics as prostate cancer and a variety of other research trials for cancers. In 2001, Dr. Hwang received her medical degree from the University of Michigan.  She then continued her education with this university, completing an internal medicine internship and a hematology/oncology residency.  Her efforts in treating cancers and work in cancer research have led her to become a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Cancer Society and Michigan Society of Hematology and Oncology.  Dr. Hwang’s work with the Henry Ford Group has led it to become one of the most award winning hospital systems in the Detroit Metro Area.
