Vincent Makhlouf, MD, FACS, to represent plastic surgeons in their publication, The Leading Physicians of the World. Dr. Makhlouf’s selection is a significant representation of his passion and dedication for the field of plastic surgery. He is considered to be among the best with over 25 years in practice. Dr. Makhlouf maintains his own private practice located in Des Plaines, Illinois. His practice offers an array of services including all aspects of plastic surgery: cosmetic, reconstructive, and hand surgical procedures with special emphasis on body contouring and rhinoplasty. Dr. Makhlouf is involved in his private practice as well as teaching residents in plastic surgery at the University of Illinois. He has been recognized for many years as one of the top plastic surgeons, going as far back as the first edition of Castle Connolly, and has received numerous top 10 awards. He received his medical degree in 1981 at the American University of Beirut. He then attended the American University Hospital to complete a surgery internship. Upon completion, Dr. Makhlouf went to Saint Joseph Hospital and St. Louis University to finish his general surgery residency and plastic and reconstructive surgery fellowship. Dr. Makhlouf also has additional certification in surgery of the hand. He has distinguished himself with the exceptional work he performs and devotion to his field; as well as being certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and recognition as a Fellow by the American College of Surgeons.
