Representing the dentists of New York City, Scott P. Schechter, DDS, has been selected to represent his community in the publication of The Leading Physicians of the World.  In practice for over 20 years, Dr. Schechter represents the commitment, excellence, and passion for patient care needed to receive this prestigious honor. Dr. Schechter works for United Nations Plaza Dental, located within the vicinity of the United Nations in downtown Manhattan.  He is an endodontic and periodontic specialist, treating the tissues and roots surrounding teeth. Root canals are commonly performed, as well as other general dentistry procedures.  They have a sister practice named the Manhattan Dental Implant Institute, and they also serve Westchester at the Westchester Dental Implant Institute.  Dr. Schechter sharpens his knowledge of these sub-specialties of dentistry with his membership in the American Dental Association, American Association of Endodontics, and the American Association of Periodontics. In 1984, Dr. Schechter graduated from Howard University with his dental degree.  Because of the extra education required to master a dental sub-specialty, Dr. Schechter completed both an endodontics and periodontics residency at New York University.  The practice prides itself on its personalized attention to every patient as well as easy availability and free second opinions.
