The International Nurses Association has carefully selected Cristina Viola, BSN, RN, to represent nursing in their publication, Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Cristina Viola’s selection is a significant representation of her passion, enthusiasm, and dedication for the field of nursing.  She is considered to be among the best with only a few years in practice. Cristina is a staff nurse based out of Garfield, New Jersey. Currently, Cristina works on a Medical-Surgical floor that specializes in Bariatric Surgery. As a medical-surgical nurse she must care for adult patients in many settings; such as in inpatient care units, clinics, ambulatory care units, surgical centers, and universities. Cristina is on staff at Saint Clare’s Hospital. Saint Clare’s Health System provides compassionate, family-centered care, and is consistently among the best performing health systems in the country; receiving multiple awards including the Get With The Guidelines Stroke Gold Plus Performance Achievement Award from the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association. Her motivation to become a nurse blossomed in her senior year of high school, when her father got sick. After her father had a double heart attack and had to have a triple bypass and an ICD/pacemaker placed, she was so grateful for the nurses that saved his life that Cristina wanted to give back as well. In 2010, Cristina graduated from William Patterson University with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Registered Nursing degree.
