The International Nurses Association has carefully selected Della Jane Noll, LPN, to represent nursing in their publication, Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare. Della Noll’s selection is a significant representation of her passion and dedication for the field of nursing.  She is considered to be among the best with her many years of experience, practicing since 1948. Della retired from being a licensed practical nurse in 1997. Before she retired, she was an affiliate to Bethesda Hospital in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Bethesda is unlike traditional hospitals; delivering acute hospital-level care, while also offering integrated programs for their patients whose illnesses or injuries have long-term effects. Prior to working as a licensed practical nurse, Della was a psychiatric nurse from 1948-1961. As a psychiatric nurse she cared for people of all ages with mental illness or mental distress, building a therapeutic alliance with her patients, dealing with challenging behavior, and the administration of psychiatric medication. In 1961 she graduated from Saint Paul College, also in Minnesota, with her license in practical nursing. Throughout her career, Della involved herself in the nursing community; helping others get well. She was a member of the Licensed Practical Nurses Association and volunteered for Meals on Wheels, an association that provides home-delivered meal services to people in need, for 30 years.
