Representing the internists of New York, Pio L. Oliverio, MD, has been selected to represent his community in the publication of The Leading Physicians of the World.  In private practice for more than 25 years, Dr. Oliverio represents the commitment, excellence, and passion for patient care needed to receive this prestigious honor. Dr. Oliverio maintains a position at St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center in Syracuse, New York. St. Joseph’s Hospital is financially and philosophically committed to providing the best possible healthcare services at a reasonable cost and to those persons unable to afford them. At the Hospital, Dr. Oliverio is an experienced and board certified internist; focusing mainly on adult medicine with special study on the prevention and treatment of adult diseases. Dr. Oliverio has clinical interest in geriatrics; healthcare of the elderly, and is a member of the American Gerontological Society. Dr. Oliverio received his medical degree in 1985 at the Cebu Institute of Medicine, which is located in the Philippines.  Upon completion, he relocated to New York where he finished his education and presently works. His internship was based out of Long Island College Hospital; then he went on to New York Medical College where he completed his residency and fellowship programs.
