Andy Laforge Joins the Ranks of Stanford Who’s Who ALBERTA, CANADA October 5, 2012 /Stanford Who’s Who/ — Andy Laforge [1] has been recognized for his contributions to the fields of sports and recreation, and has joined the Stanford Who’s Who network of international professionals.  As the President of Ringette Alberta, Andy Laforge has helped this vital sport for young women rise in popularity. Ringette Alberta is the administrative organization that governs the sport of Ringette in the Alberta region.  Administrating sporting events, memberships, team development and community events, Ringette Alberta assists the more than 6,500 ringette participants in the region find a nurturing, supportive environment to enjoy this fast growing sport. Ringette Alberta collaborates closely with players, coaches, parents and community leaders to help popularize the sport and provide resources.  This nonprofit organization is committed to helping young sportswomen achieve the full potential both on and off the field. Andy is a well-respected and highly qualified professional and community leader.  He has served as the President of Ringette Alberta for the past three years, during which time he has been instrumental in organizing events, recruiting young players and developing stronger ties with local communities. Andy has helped formulate the mission objectives of excellent leadership, high quality programs, and popularizing ringette among young women.  He has played a critical role in making the sport an enjoyable, safe and positive experience for the players and fans. In addition to serving as an administrator for Ringette Alberta, Andy is also a professional in the construction industry, having served in management positions with Burnco Rock Pro and Inland Concrete.  His skills as a highly qualified business manager have helped prepare him to run a regional nonprofit organization that caters to thousands of amateur, club and student players.
