Worldwide Leaders in Healthcare and the International Nurses Association are proud to announce that Susan A. Smith, LPN, is being honored for her exceptional successes in the nursing community.  With just 2 years practicing, Sharon has already demonstrated the passion, dedication, and enthusiasm for patient care necessary to be considered a Top Nurse in her field. Susan has a home based healthcare business in Oregonia, Ohio.  There, she helps patients who for whatever reason receive care at home.  This could be because of lack of mobility or transportation, or because a patient may not be severe enough to receive care at a hospital.  Susan is also IV and CPR certified, and serves an emergency medicine technician (EMT) during critical situations.  She works with a wide range of people, ranging from 3 years old and up, and those who often require ventilators to breathe.  Some of her duties include wound care, wound vacs, DMII, blood draws, PT/INR’s, tube feed infusions and bladder irrigations. Susan draws inspiration from her daughter, who is herself disabled. In 2009, Susan received her LPN, graduating with honors from Butler Technical School.  She is a member of the National Federation of Licensed Practical Nurses and in 2009, received the Florence Nightingale Award for excellence in nursing.  She also gives instruction for her staff of home health aides.
