Dr. Poch maintains a position at Gastrointestinal Specialists located in Shreveport, Louisiana. A well experienced gastroenterologist, Dr. Poch is particularly specialized in Bowel Diseases, Colorectal Cancers, and Peptic Ulcer Diseases. Dr. Poch spent part of his education studying hepatology; which is the branch of medicine that incorporates the study of liver, gallbladder, biliary tree, and pancreas as well as management of their disorders. His dedication to his patients and practice is expressed through his double certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine. Within the practice, Dr. Poch is involved in research and has published over 100 clinical studies for the Louisiana Research Center. In 1977, Dr. Poch graduated from the University of CT Medical Center. Upon completion, he attended the University of Iowa for his internship; then the University of Texas to study gastroenterology and hepatology in a fellowship program.
