Press Release: Erick A. Salvatierra, MD, Represents Louisiana with Inclusion into Renowned Publication The Leading Physicians of the World

The International Association of Healthcare Professionals has carefully selected Erick A. Salvatierra, MD, to represent gastroenterology in their publication, The Leading Physicians of the World. Dr. Salvatierra’s selection is a significant representation of his passion and dedication for the field of gastroenterology.  He is considered to be among the best among his many years in practice. Dr. Salvatierra works at Acadiana Gastroenterology, a multi-physician practice in Lafayette, Louisiana.  He specializes in treating diseases of the digestive tract, specifically inflammatory bowel disease.  A board certified internist and gastroenterologist, Dr. Salvatierra has also written articles on helicobacter pylori, a type of stomach bacteria.  With the practice since 2010, Dr. Salvatierra is also on staff at Acadiana Endoscopy Center, Lafayette General Medical Center Hospital and Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. In 2004, Dr. Salvatierra received his medical degree from the Louisiana State University Health Science Center in Shreveport.  He then went on to complete an internal medicine residency at Earl K. Long Hospital in Baton Rouge, culminating in the completion of a gastroenterology fellowship at Louisiana State University Health Science Center in Shreveport in 2010.  When Dr. Salvatierra is not practicing, he can be found giving national conferences on digestive health to others and for his sake, to stay current in the field.
