As a result of impeccable passion and quality patient care, Juan Carlos Gonzalez, MD, has been selected to receive publication in The Leading Physicians of the World. The International Association of Healthcare Professionals is proud to welcome Dr. Gonzalez into a prestigious, supportive community for top physicians. Dr. Gonzalez serves the North Georgia Neurological Institute, as well as the University of Tennessee’s Erlanger Neurology in Chattanooga. Fellowship trained in electromyography, Dr. Gonzalez studies the electrical activity in skeletal muscles. This kind of study leads to the diagnosis of neurological and neuromuscular disorders. Dr. Gonzalez also specializes in the usage of Botox for problems like migraines, dystonias, and other nerve and muscle diseases. In the future, he aspires to become the head of Erlanger’s new electromyography program. In 2005, Dr. Gonzalez received his medical degree from the University of Texas at Galveston. After completing his internship in San Antonio, Texas, he continued his residency training in neurology at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire and completed a Fellowship in electromyography at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina. Board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Gonzalez is also on the faculty at Chattanooga University Medical School.
