The International Association of Healthcare Professionals has carefully selected Lloyd D. Lohr, MD, to represent obstetricians and gynecologists in their publication, The Leading Physicians of the World.  Dr. Lohr’s selection is a significant representation of his passion and dedication for the field of obstetrics and gynecology.  He is considered to be among the best with over 40 years of practice. Dr. Lohr maintains a position at the Women’s Center of Lexington in Lexington, North Carolina. The Center is part of the Wake Forest Baptist Health Network, in which Dr. Lohr is an attending doctor as well as within the Lexington Medical Center. For the 20th consecutive year, U.S. News & World Report ranked the Health Network as one of America’s Best Hospitals. Dr. Lohr’s contribution to the staff as an experienced OBGYN is his particular skill in vaginal hysterectomy, normal and high risk pregnancy, bladder slings, and incontinence in women. Dr. Lohr stays involved in the field by upholding his certification from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and his memberships in OBGYN associations, including American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He earned his medical degree from the University of North Carolina in 1961. Moving forward in his education, Dr. Lohr completed his internship and residency in North Carolina Memorial Hospital. Prior to working, Dr. Lohr served the United States Navy as a flight surgeon.  He took the advice of his father to learn general surgery techniques to enhance his skill as an OBGYN.
