Representing the neurologists of Massachusetts, Masanori Takeoka, MD, has been selected to represent his community in the publication of The Leading Physicians of the World. In practice for over 10 years, Dr. Takeoka represents the commitment, excellence, and passion for patient care needed to receive this prestigious honor. Dr. Takeoka works with the Children’s Hospital of Boston, an award winning facility that is one of the largest pediatric centers in the United States. Dr. Takeoka is a pediatric neurologist, treating a variety of disorders including epilepsy, and Sturge-Weber Syndrome. He is also an Assistant Professor of Neurology at Harvard Medical School, one of the most prestigious medical schools in the country. Dr. Takeoka has also written articles for Medscape on Sturge-Weber, increasing parent’s awareness of this rare disorder. In 1993, Dr. Takeoka received his medical degree from the Keio University School of Medicine in Japan, one of the country’s most established educational institutions. He then went on to complete his internship at Keio University Hospital, and his residency at Massachusetts General Hospital. His fellowship was completed at his current place of employment, and Dr. Takeoka has been serving Boston’s children ever since.
