Harold Orr Is Built Into The Stanford Who’s Who Network SASKATOON, SK, CANADA,   October 30, 2012 /Stanford Who’s Who [1]/ — A construction and engineering executive with over four decades of diverse professional experience, Harold Walter Orr [2] has enjoyed an enormously successful career filled with several significant accomplishments, leading to his inclusion in the exclusive network of premier professionals with Stanford Who’s Who. Throughout his brilliant professional career, Harold has routinely exhibited the passion, vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be mentioned among the elite. A pioneer in the energy efficient building field, Mr. Orr serves as Senior Partner of Harold Orr & Sons Engineering, which is an engineering company that is currently working on several projects in the Saskatchewan region of Canada. The company operates the former Western Christian College building in Regina and recently put in a bid on the Third Avenue United Church in Saskatoon. Over the course of his incredibly impressive career, Harold played an integral role on numerous important projects. He was one of the key members of the research team that designed the Saskatchewan Conservation House in 1977, which was an airtight building with triple-glazed windows, R-40 wall insulation, R-60 roof insulation, and one of the world’s first heat-recovery ventilators. He was one of the first people to combine a number of elements that have become part of the standard procedure for deep-energy retrofits. Additionally, Harold was a founding member and the first President of the Energy Efficient Building Association, which was established to develop criteria for the construction of buildings that were more energy efficient. Originally formed in 1982, the organization has built up an enviable reputation in the field and currently serves as the leading resource for information and education for sustainable building.
