Representing the internists of Michigan, Oronde L. White, MD, has been selected to represent his community in the publication of The Leading Physicians of the World.  In practice for many years, Dr. White represents the commitment, excellence, and passion for patient care needed to receive this prestigious honor. Dr. White works for the Lifehouse Clinic in Southfield, Michigan. The clinic specializes in medical weight loss programs and the treatment of heart conditions, diabetes, and other medical conditions.  A board certified internist, Dr. White also practices at Providence Hospital and Providence Park Hospital, located near the Lighthouse Clinic.  Most importantly, Dr. White enjoys giving back to his community. Dr. White has taken staff call at Sinai-Grace Hospital in Detroit for years and has provided the best possible medical care he can provide to many uninsured patients without ever being reimbursed. He has provided medical care at local free clinics without remuneration. Care is provided to some uninsured patients at the office without ever being reimbursed because sometimes patients are unable to get good, timely care to follow-up outside of an emergency department. Also, Dr. White has educated many physician assistant students, medical students, and some medical assistants for externships, free of charge.  Dr. White is also the author of “Ethnicity and Disease, Renal Function as an Independent Risk Factor for Incident Cardiovascular Events in Diabetic Patients” for a medical journal. In 2000, Dr. White received his medical degree from the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine.  He then went on to complete a residency at Sinai-Grace Hospital, Mayo Clinic.
