The International Association of Healthcare Professionals has carefully selected Richard Michael Daum, MD, MSc, FACC, FACCP, to represent cardiologists in their publication, The Leading Physicians of the World.  Dr. Daum’s selection is a significant representation of his passion and dedication for the field of cardiology.  He is considered to be among the best with nearly 25 years of practice. Dr. Daum maintains a position within Florida Hospital Heartland Medical Center Cardiology Associates located in Sebring, Florida. Florida Hospital is one of the country’s largest not-for-profit healthcare providers, with 22 campuses, serving communities throughout Florida. Dr. Daum offers expertise in clinical cardiology, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, pacemaker and defibrillator management, non-invasive cardiology, and cardiovascular disease within Florida Hospital. Prior to his current position, Dr. Daum was a physician at Oconee Heart Center, as well as, a former faculty member at Harvard University, Tufts University, and the University of Vermont. His experience and devotion has resulted in contributing various publications to the field of cardiology, and the honor of the Patients’ Choice Award in 2011. Dr. Daum has the distinct recognition as a Fellow within the American College of Cardiology and the American College of Chest Physicians. He received his medical degree from the revered Cornell University Medical College in 1983. Dr. Daum then went on to multiple affiliated hospitals to Baylor College of Medicine for his internal medicine internship and residency. Dr. Daum then attended Tufts Medical Center for his cardiovascular fellowship and Harvard University for his Master of Science degree in health policy and management.
