Dr. Roberts is a valued OBGYN at Parkland Hospital, located in Dallas, Texas. Within Parkland, Dr. Roberts specializes in Maternal Fetal Medicine. Maternal Fetal Medicine is the branch of obstetrics that focuses on the medical and surgical management of high-risk pregnancies; making Dr. Roberts responsible for monitoring comprehensive ultrasounds, chorionic villus sampling, genetic amniocentesis, and fetal surgery or treatment. As well as offering his experience to Parkland, Dr. Roberts is a Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center; with clinical interest in specializing in high risk OBGYN, autism, and clinical genetics. Dr. Roberts has also contributed many publications in various medical journals on topics such as cesarean section, herpes simplex and hepatitis in pregnancy. In 1986, he received his medical degree from the University of Kansas. He then completed his internship and residency from HCA Wesley Medical Center; then continuing on to Baylor College of Medicine for a fellowship in infectious disease and UT Southwestern Medical Center in maternal fetal medicine. Upon completion, Dr. Roberts obtained his certification in maternal fetal medicine and OBGYN from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. He maintains up-to-date in his procedures and technologies by being an educator himself, and staying active in the field; being a member of medical associations including the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
