The International Association of Healthcare Professionals has carefully selected Timothy F. Kolda, MD, to represent pathologists in their publication, The Leading Physicians of the World.  Dr. Kolda’s selection is a significant representation of his passion and dedication for the field of pathology.  He is considered to be among the best with nearly 20 years of practice. Dr. Kolda maintains a position within Clinical Pathology Associates located in Austin, Texas. The practice is the oldest anatomic/clinical pathology group in Central Texas, whose pathologists work hand in hand with nearly every doctor in Austin. Dr. Kolda is most known for his establishment of a HIPAA-approved community health record (CHR) with the Austin Radiological Association which provides a more collaborative and streamlined approach to patient care; for example if a patient sees many specialists, it helps eliminate record confusion. Dr. Kolda is board certified in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology with subspecialty certification in Dermatopathology, being a subspecialty of both dermatology and surgical pathology that focuses on the study of cutaneous diseases at a microscopic level. He completed his undergraduate degree in Zoology from the University of Texas. Then, in 1991, Dr. Kolda graduated from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston with his medical degree. He continued his post graduate education at Baylor for residency in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology and a fellowship in Dermatopathology. Upon completion, Dr. Kolda attended MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston for a fellowship in surgical pathology.
