Margie Miller Joins the Ranks of Stanford Who’s WhoTOMS RIVER, NEW JERSEY November 12, 2012 /Stanford Who’s Who/ — Stanford Who’s Who would like to recognize Margie Miller [1]’s many contributions to the field of dance and welcome her into its prestigious network of international professionals and executives. Margie Miller has been an icon in dance and choreography for decades and is currently the owner of the Lillian Dean Dance Studio, which was founded in 1926 to provide world class instruction in tap, jazz, ballet, pointe, Irish step, ballroom, hip hop, modern, Hawaiian and lyrical dance to young girls and boys. This studio also provides strength and conditioning training. The philosophy of the Lillian Dean Dance Studio is to prepare young children with the tools necessary to become well-rounded, self-confident adults. Many of the young students have gone on to become world famous dancers and instructors with Broadway, television soap operas, motion pictures, Atlantic City and Las Vegas dance shows, Disney theme parks and cruise lines. Margie Miller took control of the Lillian Dean Dance Studio upon the death of her aunt and the studio’s founder Lillian Dean.  During her 36 years as a dance teacher and business leader, Margie has strived to uphold the teachings of Lillian Dean, by providing young children with first class instruction in the many genres of dance and supporting their aspirations to become successful in such a competitive and demanding field. Margie has been instrumental in making the dreams of so many young people and their families come true.  She has numerous awards and accomplishments including having been accepted into the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes and taking her students to perform at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.  Margie was awarded the Educator of the Year award from 2000 to 2012.
