Stanford Who’s Who would like to recognize Willie Parker’s many contributions to the religious services industry during her long and celebrated career as a minister with the United Methodist Church. The United Methodist Church is the United States’ largest mainline denomination. Throughout the world, the United Methodist Church has more than 12 million members with 7.7 million in the United States and 4.4 million in Asia, Africa and Europe. Originally established in the mid-1700s in England by John Wesley, the United Methodist Church favors Biblical study, academic analysis of scripture and a spiritual life. Willie Parker has served in the front lines of the Methodist Church for 28 years. She has been a celebrated minister with outstanding oratorical skills that has helped the members of her congregation find God. Her tireless dedication to enhancing the spiritual lives of members of her church and community as well as members of the wider society has marked Willie as one of the Protestant church’s most acclaimed and noble figures. Willie received her Doctorate of Ministry and Pastoral Theology from Wesley Theological Seminary before embarking on a multi-decade long crusade to enrich the lives of others with the Word of God.
