Drawing upon several years of experience in multiple disciplines, John is a retired construction professional who most recently ran his own business known as JD Dewes Electrical Contractor. Although he is semi-retired, he will still do some work from time to time, utilizing his varied skill set in all areas of electrical contracting, including the installation and maintenance of electrical systems. Prior to starting his own company, Mr. Dewes gathered a wealth of knowledge through his experience with numerous companies. Over the course of his incredibly impressive career, he worked for Fletchers Construction as well as Autocrat Sanyo and Fisher and Paykel. He has held many positions over the years, such as field technician and quality control inspector. Although he has obtained a considerable amount of his expertise through his vast professional experience, John also attended Open Polytechnic where he studied radio and associated electronics. He also accumulated a great deal of knowledge in the areas of construction management, plumbing, blueprint reading, wiring, and inspections.
