The International Association of Healthcare Professionals has carefully selected Alam Sher Khan, MD, Emeritus, FRCP(C), to represent cardiologists in their publication, The Leading Physicians of the World. Dr. Khan’s selection is a significant representation of his passion and dedication for the field of cardiology. He is considered to be among the best with many years of practice. Dr. Khan was a clinical cardiologist based out of the Calgary, Alberta region in Canada. As a clinical cardiologist, Dr. Khan focused on the diagnosis, medical and medicine management, and prevention of cardiovascular disease. Board certified in cardiology, Dr. Khan offered his services and expertise to Foothills Medical Centre, Holy Cross Hospital, Calgary General Hospital, and the Associate Clinic Calgary. He also was an attending physician to Philadelphia Hospital and Ottawa Hospital. Dr. Khan has been published over the course of his career and has participated in public lectures around the globe; he also was an educator at Foothills Medical Centre. Dr. Khan’s achievements and successes were recognized at Foothills after receiving the Best Teacher of the Year Award in 1976. He received his medical degree from King Edward Medical University in Pakistan. Upon completion, Dr. Khan relocated to Canada; where he spent the rest of his time in the medical field. Always remaining active in the medical field, Dr. Khan had the distinction of being a Fellow of the well-known, Royal College of Physicians of Canada.
