As a result of impeccable passion and quality patient care, Irfan Tahir Qureshi, MD, FRCS(C), has been selected to receive publication in The Leading Physicians of the World.  The International Association of Healthcare Professionals is proud to welcome Dr. Qureshi into a prestigious, supportive community for top physicians. Dr. Qureshi maintains a position at Northern Lights Regional Health Centre based out of Fort McMurray, Alberta in Canada. The Centre is a part of Alberta Health Services and offers acute care and continuing care such as 24-hour emergency, X-Rays, mental health medicine, general surgery, and ambulatory care. An orthopedic surgeon with over a decade of experience, Dr. Qureshi specializes in sports medicine, joint replacement, trauma, and hand surgery. For all of his hard work and dedication in the field, Dr. Qureshi is a doctor of distinction; being recognized as a Fellow of the esteemed Royal College of Surgeons (of Canada). He remains active in the orthopedic surgery community by being a member to various medical associations, like the Canadian Orthopaedic Association, to keep his procedures and technologies current. In 1989 he graduated from the University of the Punjab in Pakistan with his medical degree. Upon completion, Dr. Qureshi relocated to South Africa to the University of the Witwatersand for a residency program. He then moved to Canada where he attended the University of Alberta, for 6 months of sports medicine training, and the University of Calgary, for 4 months of spinal surgery training.
