The International Association of Healthcare Professionals has carefully selected Ubendranauth Kalicharran, BSc, MD, FRCP(C), to represent anesthesiologists in their publication, The Leading Physicians of the World.  Dr. Kalicharran’s selection is a significant representation of his passion and dedication for the field of anesthesiology.  He is considered to be among the best with nearly 15 years of practice. Dr. Kalicharran is a devoted physician within Humber River Regional Hospital located in Toronto, Ontario in Canada. Humber River Hospital is one of Canada’s largest regional acute care hospitals; being home to Ontario’s first Centre of Excellence for laparoscopic bariatric surgery. His clinical interests and expertise at Humber are in chronic pain management and addiction medicine. As well as maintaining his certification with the American Board of Anesthesiology, Dr. Kalicharran is recognized as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians (Canada) and a Diplomate of the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine; an association devoted to advanced scientific and medical technologies for the early detection, prevention, treatment, and reversal of age-related dysfunction, disorders, and diseases. Dr. Kalicharran is also active in the field of anesthesiology, and participates in public lectures around the globe. He received his medical degree from the University of Toronto in 1993. Dr. Kalicharran then continued his education at the University of Toronto for his residency. Upon completion, he trained at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto; also receiving additional training in pain management. Dr. Kalicharran stays current in medicine by being a valued member to numerous associations including the Canadian Anesthesiologists’ Society and the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
