Dr. Abdul Rahman Othman Joins The Class Of Stanford Who’s Who PENANG, MALAYSIA,   December 10, 2012 /Stanford Who’s Who [1]/ — An extraordinary educator and executive with over three decades of diverse professional experience in the education industry, Dr. Abdul Rahman Othman [2] has enjoyed an enormously successful career filled with several significant accomplishments, leading to his inclusion in the distinguished network of leading professionals with Stanford Who’s Who. Throughout his brilliant professional career, Dr. Othman has routinely demonstrated the passion, vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be mentioned among the elite. Exercising his wealth of knowledge and experience in the field, Dr. Othman currently serves as a Professor and Deputy Dean of Academics with Universiti Sains Malaysia, which is a locally and internationally renowned university that offers courses to over 20,000 students at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Through their three campuses as well as their offshore collaboration with KLE University of India, the university serves as a global leader in the industry. In his role as a Professor, Dr. Othman is involved in teaching numerous courses, specializing in statistics courses to students at the undergraduate level. He is also involved in supervising Master’s degree and PhD candidates and conducting research in robust computational statistics. Additionally, Dr. Othman is active in the provision of consulting services. Through his position as Deputy Dean of Academics, he is responsible for heading admissions and examinations as well as improving the administration of postgraduate programs and promoting the Ministry of Higher Education Industrial PhD program. Prior to his current assignments at Universiti Sains Malaysia, Dr. Othman served in various roles for multiple educational institutions. His other positions at Universiti Sains Malaysia include Lecturer, Senior Lecturer, and Associate Professor with assignments dating back to 1983. Over the course of his incredibly impressive career, Dr. Othman has also worked at Southern Illinois University, the University of Manitoba, and the University of California at Santa Barbara. In addition to the considerable amount of expertise he has gained through his vast professional experience, Dr. Othman is a highly educated individual who earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics and a Master of Science degree in Statistics from Southern Illinois University as well as a PhD in Educational Management from the University of California.
