The highlight of her career is reflected by her dedication to relocate the post office to its original site from 1850. Her efforts to preserve the history of the Australia Post and the Avoca Township have led to Shirley being featured on a postage stamp. Shirley obtained her expertise through professional experience while contributing to her local community with a variety of programs and initiatives.
