Representing the surgical oncologists of New Jersey, Donald A. McCain, MD, PhD, FACS, has been selected to represent his community in the publication of The Leading Physicians of the World.  In practice for many years, Dr. McCain represents the commitment, excellence, and passion for patient care needed to receive this prestigious honor. Dr. McCain works at his private practice, known as Cancer Surgery Associates LLC, in Hackensack, New Jersey.  A board certified surgical oncologist, Dr. McCain specializes in treatment of cancers of the breast, liver, gastrointestinal tract, and pancreas.  He also treats various forms of sarcomas and melanoma.  The chief of Surgical Oncology at Hackensack Medical Center, Dr. McCain is also an Assistant Clinical Professor at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.  New York Magazine voted Dr. McCain a Top Physician of 2012; he was also voted a Top Doctor for Women’s Health in 2011 by Castle Connolly. In 1991, Dr. McCain received his medical degree from Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York.  His surgical residency was completed at Mount Sinai Medical Center, also in New York.  Dr. McCain completed his oncology fellowship at the world renowned Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.  His work has been published extensively, on the topics of liver and rectal cancer, and he remains an active member of the Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American College of Surgeons.
