The International Association of Healthcare Professionals has carefully selected Jon David Perlus, BSc, DDS, Dip.Perio, MRCD(c), FICOI, to represent periodontics in their publication, The Leading Physicians of the World. Dr. Perlus’s selection is a significant representation of his passion and dedication for the field of periodontics.  He is considered to be among the best among his many years in practice. Dr. Perlus works at a private practice, with four locations across Ontario, Canada (Toronto, Collingwood, North York, and Mississauga).  A worldwide expert in periodontics and implant dentistry, Dr. Perlus has studied in the United States, Sweden, and Canada.  He received the Gold Medal from the Academy of Osseointegration for his excellent work in the field.  A Past President of the Ontario Dental Association, Dr. Perlus is also a faculty member of the Misch International Implant Institute, training some of the best up and coming dentists with a hands-on course of study. In 1973, Dr. Perlus received his dental degree from the McGill University Faculty of Dentistry.  He then completed his additional periodontics training at the University of Toronto.  Dr. Perlus is also certified in intravenous conscious sedation and is currently a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, Canadian Academy of Periodontology, Ontario Society of Periodontology and the Ontario Society of Osseointegration.  Dr. Perlus has also published a book on Histological Evaluation of the Osteogenic Potential of Decalcified Lyophilized Bone and Dentin in 1975.  Because of his dental advances, people in Ontario no longer need to rely on traditional bridge and denture work as their only alternative.
