The International Association of Healthcare Professionals has carefully selected Marc L. Abel, DO to represent ophthalmology in their publication, The Leading Physicians of the World. Dr. Abel’s selection is a significant representation of his passion and dedication for the field of ophthalmology.  He is considered to be among the best among his many years in practice. Dr. Abel works with the Triad Eye Medical Clinic, located in Tulsa and Muskogee, Oklahoma.  He serves as the Founder and Medical Director, as well as working at the Joplin Eye Laser Center in Joplin, Missouri.  Dr. Abel is known for performing the first LASIK procedure in Oklahoma, and has since performed over 27,000 LASIK and refractive surgeries. He also specializes in intraocular lens transplants and corneal transplants.  The creators of an innovative new laser called VISX voted him a top performing refractive surgeon in the United States.
