The International Association of Healthcare Professionals has carefully selected Sanjoy K. Gupta, MD, PhD, FRCS(C), to represent ophthalmology in their publication, The Leading Physicians of the World. Dr. Gupta’s selection is a significant representation of his passion and dedication for the field of ophthalmology.  He is considered to be among the best among his many years in practice. Dr.  Gupta works at a private practice in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada.  A corneal and retina specialist, Dr. Gupta treats various diseases and disorders of the eye.  He is a clinical adjunct professor at Northern Ontario School of Medicine, and also practices at nearby Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.  Dr. Gupta is a published author, with a study on lattice corneal dystrophy published in the American Journal of Ophthalmology. In 1997, Dr. Gupta received his medical degree from Dalhousie University in Canada. He then completed his internship and residency at the University of Ottawa.  Prior to his work in ophthalmology, Dr. Gupta earned in a degree in molecular biology.  Dr. Gupta maintains active membership with the Canadian Ophthalmological Society, and has been practicing in the area for over 10 years.
