Dr. Seungjun Kim Joins The Class Of Stanford Who’s Who COLLEGE STATION, TX,   December 24, 2012 /Stanford Who’s Who [1]/ — An accomplished professional in the education industry with over a decade of diverse experience in the civil engineering field, Dr. Seungjun Kim [2] has enjoyed an enormously successful career filled with several significant accomplishments, leading to his inclusion in the exclusive network of leading professionals with Stanford Who’s Who. Throughout his brilliant professional career, Dr. Kim has consistently demonstrated the passion, vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be mentioned among the elite. Drawing upon his wealth of knowledge in the civil engineering field, Dr. Kim currently serves as a Postdoctoral Associate at Texas A&M University, where he is involved in structural engineering analysis research. At the present time he is working on a project that is aimed at developing the estimation technique of structural displacement through acceleration measurement. Prior to his current role, Dr. Kim served as a Research Professor at the Institute of High-rise Buildings & Long-span Bridges at Korea University, where he was involved in investigating the nonlinear response of Long-span bridges under various conditions. He has also been a Lecturer at Kookmin University, where he taught students about steel structures. Additionally, Dr. Kim was a Lecturer at Korea University, teaching the subjects of Material Mechanics, Structural Mechanics, Structural Analysis, Dynamic Analysis, Finite Element Analysis, Nonlinear Finite Element Analysis, and Advanced Mechanics of Materials. In addition to the considerable amount of expertise through his vast professional experience, Dr. Kim is a highly educated individual who earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering, and a PhD in Structural Engineering from Korea University. Evidencing his outstanding reputation in his field, he is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. Further demonstrating his professional proficiency, Dr. Kim has been the recipient of numerous awards for his various projects. He was the winner of the Best Paper Award from the Korean Society of Steel Construction in 2012. Dr. Kim was also the three time recipient of the Best Conference Paper Award from the Korean institute for Structural Maintenance Inspection. In addition, he was the two time winner of the Best Conference Paper Award from the Korean Society of Hazard Mitigation.
