Smartphones outpace feature phones for first time
According to a report from Gartner, smartphones have finally outsold feature phones. During the second quarter, worldwide smartphone sales hit 225 million, a 46.5 percent leap from last year while feature phone sales fell 21 percent to 210 million. Smartphones saw their biggest growth in Asia/Pacific at 74.1 percent, Latin America at 55.7 percent, and Eastern Europe at 31.6 percent.
