American International Group’s Hold Rating Reaffirmed at TheStreet (AIG)
American International Group (NYSE:AIG)‘s stock had its “hold” rating reaffirmed by equities researchers at TheStreet in a research report issued on Tuesday, AnalystRatingsNetwork reports.
The analysts wrote, “American International Group (AIG) has been reiterated by TheStreet Ratings as a hold with a ratings score of C. The company’s strengths can be seen in multiple areas, such as its solid stock price performance, good cash flow from operations and growth in earnings per share. However, as a counter to these strengths, we also find weaknesses including disappointing return on equity and poor profit margins.”
American International Group (NYSE:AIG) last announced its earnings results on Friday, November 1st. The company reported $0.96 earnings per share (EPS) for the quarter, beating the consensus estimate of $0.85 by $0.11. The company had revenue of $8.43 billion for the quarter, compared to the consensus estimate of $8.63 billion. During the same quarter in the previous year, the company posted $1.00 earnings per share. The company’s revenue for the quarter was down 3.7% on a year-over-year basis.

They now have a $52.00 price target on the stock. Separately, analysts at Deutsche Bank raised their price target on shares of American International Group from $56.00 to $58.00 in a research note to investors on Thursday, November 7th. They now have a “hold” rating on the stock. Finally, analysts at Keefe, Bruyette & Woods raised their price target on shares of American International Group from $46.00 to $51.00 in a research note to investors on Monday, November 4th. Twelve research analysts have rated the stock with a hold rating and seven have assigned a buy rating to the company’s stock. American International Group has an average rating of “Hold” and a consensus price target of $52.11.
