LIGHTNING RELEASES (1/8/2014) – The North American Junior Amateur Championship is proud to announce that the Capital Area Golf Tour will host 8 qualifying tournaments in South Carolina, Maryland, Virginia, New York, Washington DC, Ontario Canada, Pennsylvania and Ohio.  16 CAGT Junior Amateur players will attend the North American Junior Amateur Championship, December 30th 2014-January 3rd, 2015 at Wigwam Resort in Litchfield Park, AZ.

North American Junior Amateur will be hosting qualifiers in the following states: Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Kansas, Maryland, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennslyvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia and Washington.  Qualifiers in more states are coming soon!

The NAJA Championship, December 30th-January 3rd 2015, will be a 5 day event held at Wigwam Resort in Litchfield Park, AZ.   This venue has three 18 hole courses and can accommodate all of us comfortably.  The resort will offer a good rate for rooms and we will have several other room choices in different price ranges.

150 players will participate in two 18 hole rounds of stroke play. The field will get trimmed to 64. That will allow for 32/9 hole matches followed by 16/9 hole matches for the third day. On the fourth day we will have 8/9 hole matches followed by 4/9 hole matches. The final day will have 2 Boys and 2 girls to identify the NAJAC winner in each division.

The last three days of the championship will be conducted as match play events that will identify the North American Junior Champion.

Tournament Fee is $375.00.  This includes 5 days of the tournament, breakfast is provided everyday that the player remains in the tournament as well as tee gifts.
