New Jersey Governor Chris Christie held a two-hour press conference Thursday regarding a scheme by some of his aides to close access lanes to the George Washington Bridge to punish the Democratic mayor of Fort Lee, N.J. Christie apologized to the people of New Jersey and said that he has fired his Deputy Chief of Staff Bridget Anne Kelly. Christie said he was blindsided by what transpired and claimed he had no knowledge or involvement in the issue.
