Undoubtedly the most important green car at a rather scattered Detroit Auto Show, the 2015 Honda Fit promises to be a strong entry in the subcompact segment when it arrives this spring. The latest generation of the most flexible and versatile small hatchback on the market, the new Fit is expected to deliver a combined 36-mpg fuel-economy rating, the best of any subcompact with an automatic transmission and a price that shouldn’t rise much from its current level. That will be due to a new manufacturing plant in Mexico just now starting to build Fits for North America.
