Press Release: STUDIO 905 ON JUNIPER PRESENTS: “Sensuality to Eroticism” An Exhibition for Valentine’s Day
LIGHTNING RELEASES (01/23/2014) – “Sensuality to Eroticism”, Studio 905 on Juniper’s new exhibition, will open on Friday, February 7 from 6-10 pm. Wine and appetizers will be served. This exhibit brings together 16 local artists (Brent Walker, Bob Burkhart, Son of Moon, Cheryl Culbertson, Carlos Solis, Monika Ruiz, DS Hathaway, Brikena Boci, Teresa Peruzzi, Felix Berroa, Jose Pena, Peter Nishaniam, Reinaldo Vargas, Lisa Kabus, Adriana D’La Rotta) as they express themselves in different medias. Each artist representation of Sensuality to Eroticism is unique and will stimulate your senses.
This exhibit also introduces a young artist Brikena Boci from Albania. Brikena grew up experiencing war at a young age in Albania and Kosovo. Fourteen masterfully embroidered faces represent her work, and within these faces is the voice that bears witness to the social and political abuse that happened in such territories. Issues of oppression, fear, chaos and abuse have influenced her work. Studio 905 on Juniper and all the participating artist will donate 10% of all the sales in this exhibit to “Airline Ambassadors”. Airline Ambassadors is a non-for profit organization dedicated to the prevention of human trafficking around the globe.
“Sensuality to Eroticism” exhibit will also touch upon several other topics. On Saturday February 8th, 2014 from 11am to 1pm we will hold a panel discussion titled “Let’s Talk Sex! The Good, the Bad and the Naughty”. On the panel will be Maureen Vanderbeck an art historian who will speak on how sensuality and eroticism has played a role in art through out our history of mankind. Joel DeVisser, a film producer working on a documentary on Human Trafficking in America, will be discussing issues on Human Trafficking and how to spot the signs as well as what we can do to help in prevent a person from falling victim. Marje Etheridge from Field of Hearts will discuss the role of Airline Ambassadors. Brikena Boci, an artist from Albania will speak on her artwork and how human trafficking influenced her many embroidered faces exhibited in our show. Miera Robin Gans, a Dancer, Explorer, LMT, Artist and a SoulSensual Coach. Ms. Gans will be discussing how we can all get in touch with our sensuality and applying it to your everyday life in order to keep your relationship alive.
Ms. Gans will also be offering a Sensuality Workshop “Thriving as a Sensual Loving Spirit” on Saturday February 8th, 2014 from 2pm to 3:30pm for both couples and singles.
Both Saturday events are sponsored by Sweetshot Cupcakes. Sweetshot Cupcakes will be used as tool in Ms. Gans workshop. You can register for both events in advance on our webpage “Classes” tab. The panel discussion is free to anyone and limited to 45 people. The “Thriving as a Sensual Loving Spirit” is $60 per couple or $30 person and is limited to 30 people.
