Four Killed In Karachi Blasts
At least four people were killed and four others injured when three bomb blasts targeting Pakistan Rangers troopers rocked Karachi city Wednesday, a media report said. The dead included three paramilitary Rangers and a private security guard, the Dawn online said. In the first incident, two improvised explosive devises ( or IEDs) were placed close to a Rangers’ checkpost in the busy North Nazimabad neighbourhood of Karachi and detonated remotely, killing one soldier and wounding three. “These were the IEDs which were installed in cement blocks, targeting Rangers,” the report quoted senior police officer Amir Farooqi as saying.
