We’ve all been counting down the days ’til Sochi, especially snowboarding star, Shaun White. On Tuesday the two-time Olympic gold-medalist jammed his left wrist after a fall during a practice run, forcing him to bow out of the new slopestyle event. In a statement Shaun said, “After much deliberation with my team, I have made the decision to focus solely on trying to ring home the third straight gold medal in halfpipe for Team USA.” Way to play it smart Shaun, and we have to point out that if the Flying Tomato does succeed at the men’s halfpipe, he’ll make history as the first American man to win three Olympic gold medals in a single event.
