It’s official,it’s no longer “the National Security Staff, instead it is now called the “National Security Council Staff.” President Obama, who originally dropped the word “council” from the title back in 2009, restored it Monday at the behest of staff members who liked the old name better. National Security Adviser Susan Rice told Politico story,”Shortly after Obama took office in 2009, he changed the title of the organization from the National Security Council staff to the National Security Staff, a modification made to note the inclusion of homeland security officials in the operation.
