Relief is on the way for the snow-weary Midwest and Northeast, but not before winter lands one more punch. Snow resumed falling Monday on parts of Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan and Illinois, with 3 or more inches forecast across the region and as much as 8 inches in isolated areas like northern Illinois, northern Indiana and southern Wisconsin. The fast-moving system will reach the Northeast by Monday night and New England by Tuesday morning, The Weather Channel forecast, adding up to 5 inches on top of last week’s blanket of snow on the East Coast.
